4B Debuts on Deadbeats with 'WHAT IS THIS'

Jersey Club meets dubstep on Deadbeats debut

4B has released his first single on Zeds Dead's Deadbeats label. WHAT IS THIS marks a shift into dubstep territory while maintaining the Jersey Club elements that defined his career, weaving relentless basslines, slamming drums, and a Jersey Club switch-up.

A full-circle moment

The producer reflected on the significance of the release, noting his long history with the label's founders. "Ive always been a huge fan of Deadbeats, from playing with Zeds Dead early Mad Decent days. Full circle moment releasing with them. I incorporated a monologue type breakdown in this song about growth and adaptation—because that's what this track is for me. A new chapter, without losing what I've always created," 4B said.

Global momentum continues

The track follows recent headline performances in Los Angeles and back-to-back shows in Bangkok. After more than a decade shaping dance music culture with support from I Hate Models, Tiesto, Skrillex, Diplo, Steve Aoki, and RL Grime, 4B continues to evolve his sound while keeping the high-energy style that helped define the fusion of Jersey Club and electronic music.
