Alesso will return to India this November for two headline shows, his first solo tour in the country. The Swedish producer announced dates in Bengaluru on November 27 and Gurugram on November 28, both promoted by Sunburn under the Smirnoff Experience banner.
Announcing the dates on Instagram, Alesso wrote, "It's been almost a decade since I've been back and decided to change that." The shows mark his first dedicated headline run in India, where he has played festival sets but never a solo tour.
Early Shows and Festival Appearances
Alesso first played India in January 2013, when he was building momentum internationally through releases such as Calling (Lose My Mind) and his remix of Nadia Ali's Pressure. That run included stops in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru at venues like Kitty Su, MTV Bloc Party, and The Chancery Pavilion.
He returned in 2016 as a headliner at the inaugural EDC India at Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, sharing the bill with R3HAB, Ferry Corsten, Yellow Claw, and Vini Vici. By then, tracks like Heroes (We Could Be), Under Control, and If I Lose Myself had become major releases, and his debut album Forever had come out in 2015.
Sunburn Partnership Continues
Alesso's connection with Sunburn began more recently, when he played the festival's 2024 edition in Goa alongside Skrillex, Peggy Gou, KSHMR, and Argy. Ahead of that performance, he said, "I love India. It has such a long history with music and it really shows in the culture and people."
The upcoming shows continue that partnership. Bhartiya Mall of Bengaluru will host the first date on November 27, followed by HUDA Gymkhana Club in Gurugram on November 28. The tour is presented by Smirnoff Lemon Pop Non-Alcoholic Experience.
