Amsterdam Dance Event has confirmed its 2027 edition will run October 20–24, following the conclusion of this year's milestone 30th-anniversary celebration. The five-day conference and festival once again transformed Amsterdam into the center of the global electronic music scene, with nearly 4,000 artists performing across the city.
Awakenings and DGTL Open the Week
Awakenings kicked off Wednesday, October 21 at SugarFactory with a bounce techno lineup featuring 999999999, Adrián Mills, Fumi & Serafina, NOVAH and Hujus. Adrián Mills delivered a standout set that kept the crowd moving, while the backstage area drew familiar faces from across the electronic music industry.
The following night, DGTL brought color and energy to the NDSM Warehouse with performances from Benwal, Helena Lauwaert, Lammer & Paige Tomlinson, Olive Anguz, DJ EZ, MPH, Dr Dubplate and Locky. The event marked the first-ever back-to-back appearance from Lammer and Paige Tomlinson, while DJ EZ, MPH, Dr Dubplate and Locky brought a strong UK influence to the programme.
Hot Meal Records and Intimate Showcases
Hot Meal Records hosted one of the week's most dynamic nights Thursday at Lofi, with Bad Boombox moving between drum and bass, ghetto tech and bounce techno. Mischluft followed with tracks including 'Side To Side' and 'Call Me Babe', before Mija and MRD took the night into darker territory during the early morning hours. The label extended the experience with a pop-up the following day offering free tattoo designs.
On the same night, Mochakk and Nocapz delivered a more intimate performance at Apartment B. Presented with Bose, the event invited a carefully selected group of guests into a specially designed apartment space, serving palomas and passion fruit cocktails in an atmosphere that felt more like a home gathering than a conventional music event.
Church Setting and Wine Pairing
BLOND presented Abracadabra inside Amsterdam's historic Westerkerk on Friday, October 23. The church's architecture provided a distinctive setting as Dangel Twins opened, followed by Adam Ten and BLOND. The event partnered with ByeByePlastic to address single-use plastic reduction.
Meanwhile, Chilemúsica—Chile's music export body—brought its Sonic Terroir format to the Andaz, pairing Chilean electronic music from Elektrompe, Max Johnson LA and Cameron Audio with Chilean wine. The concept had previously explored jazz and classical music in Europe before making its electronic music debut at ADE.
Rob GEE celebrated 30 years of his 1996 classic 'Ecstasy, You Got What I Need!' on Friday at Keizersgracht 349, launching a purple vinyl repress through Music On Vinyl. Fans met Rob in person for autographed copies, with Holli Curtis joining as a special guest.
ADE 2027 will take place October 20–24, 2027 in Amsterdam.
