A Club-Focused Return
Amsterdam duo ANOTR have released their third studio album, Withness, via their own imprint No Art. Born on the road during their global tour, the project was written, tested, and refined on dancefloors around the world. Where their 2025 LP On A Trip took a broader, genre-blurring approach, the duo deliberately pulled back toward the club this time around.
"We really wanted to have a wide variety of songs that we can play out and create moments," they explain. "Every track needed to make sense wherever people come together to dance."
The Concept Behind the Title
The album's title reframes "witnessing" as something collective rather than passive — being present with others rather than just observing. "The memories you make with people, they're the witness of those moments. Withness is about being in it together," the duo say. Whether the setting is a packed club, a festival field, or a living room, the album is designed to soundtrack that shared energy.
Sonically, classic drum machines and 909 samples sit alongside warm, 80s-influenced textures, layered vocals, and contemporary production. The duo leaned into a free-flowing, collaborative studio setup — their "open mic" approach invited anyone in the room to throw ideas at melodies, lyrics, and vocals. That spontaneity shows up across the record, from the groove of Do It With Ya to the more uplifting Paradise.
'Talk To You' Drives Global Momentum
The album arrives as the duo's single Talk To You ft. 54 Ultra continues its run as the biggest global breakout dance track of 2026. The track has logged over 125 million Spotify streams and sits at No. 21 in the UK Singles Chart. It peaked at No. 7 on Shazam's Global Chart, hit No. 1 on Beatport's Top 100, and has accumulated over 600 million UGC views. Spotify also named it one of the picks on their Sound Of The Summer 2026 list.
Live Shows and What's Next
On the live side, ANOTR have announced their biggest UK shows to date — two nights at Alexandra Palace on September 17th and 18th. Album launch parties are also scheduled at Pacha NYC and UNVRS Ibiza, alongside a secret pop-up in London today. The album ties into the duo's wider community-driven approach through No Art, their label, event series, and creative platform.
Withness is out now on No Art across all platforms.
