An anonymous producer named Ashelyy has surfaced with a debut single featuring G Jones, the experimental bass producer recognized by EDM.com in 2022 as one of the world's best electronic music producers. The track, titled "Hardcore Sound," offers few clues about the newcomer's identity beyond a near-empty Instagram account with no profile picture or external links.
Industry heavyweights follow the mystery account
While Ashelyy's public presence remains sparse, the artist's follower list includes Porter Robinson, Madeon, ISOxo, RL Grime, and NGHTMRE, lending credibility to the enigmatic project.
Industrial textures meet experimental bass
The production opens with punchy vocal samples before introducing a staticky, metallic bassline that creates an almost industrial sound with Frutiger Aero-esque futuristic touches. After a short, contained intro, the track's break section uses looming bass to build tension before morphing into sounds reminiscent of G Jones' recent output.
"Hardcore Sound" is now available on streaming platforms.
