Asia Music Event Partners with Tomorrowland Academy for DJ Contest

Asia Music Event has partnered with Tomorrowland Academy to launch a global DJ contest. The winner will perform at the conference's Official Closing Party in Hong Kong on November 27, 2026, and attend the wider industry event.

Contest Format and Timeline

Emerging DJs worldwide can enter the competition through the Tomorrowland Academy community with an active Community Pass. Entrants must prepare a mixtape of at least 30 minutes in any genre and upload it to SoundCloud before submitting through the official form. Entries close November 11, 2026 at 23:59 CET.

Tomorrowland Academy will select a Top 3 shortlist from eligible submissions, and Asia Music Event will choose the final winner from those three DJs. The winning artist will share the lineup with international DJs at the closing party and gain access to artists, labels, festivals, platforms, and industry decision-makers from across Asia and international markets.

Conference Focus on Emerging Talent

"At Tomorrowland Academy, we're always looking for ways to give emerging DJs opportunities to develop their craft and take the next step in their journey," said Lennert Wolfs of Tomorrowland Academy. He added that the collaboration with Asia Music Event opens the opportunity to DJs worldwide and gives one winner the chance to perform in Hong Kong.

Ron Yung, Operations Director at Asia Music Event, explained that the conference wants to contribute to the next generation of the region's music industry through education, artist discovery, and practical career opportunities.

Conference Details

The first edition of Asia Music Event will take place at Soho House Hong Kong on November 26–27, 2026. The two-day conference will bring together artists, labels, festivals, platforms, and industry leaders from Asia and international markets. Panels, keynotes, networking, and showcases will explore the business and future of electronic music in the region.
