Italian producer and DJ Aurory has released Telekinesis through Deer Deer Music. The track pairs a thumping kick with a weighty bassline, arpeggiated synths and recurring melodic patterns. The production gradually increases in intensity before opening into a breakdown filled with sustained synths and pulsating elements. Siren-like details also appear throughout the track, adding another layer to its darker sound.
A Darker Sonic Direction
Telekinesis opens with its kick and bassline immediately pushing the track forward, while arpeggiated elements and a cyclical synth lead develop around them. The production becomes more intense as it approaches the breakdown, where sustained synths sit alongside faster rhythmic patterns before the track returns to its main elements.
The siren-like details and rawer synth textures give the track a darker character, while the melodic elements keep it connected to Aurory's previous work. Instead of relying on one repeated idea throughout, the production introduces new layers as the track develops and uses the breakdown to create contrast before returning to the heavier sections.
Drawing From Diverse Influences
Aurory's music has drawn inspiration from sources beyond electronic music, including the aurora borealis, Middle Eastern influences and Bulgarian choirs. That interest in different sounds has become an important part of his work, with the Italian producer looking outside current genre trends when developing new material.
Telekinesis continues that approach through a combination of rhythmic weight, melodic details and darker electronic production. The release also adds another track to a project that has increasingly focused on giving Aurory room to experiment with different ideas without limiting his music to one specific genre.
Beyond Solo Releases
Alongside producing and DJing, Aurory also works through Lucentia, his event and label brand. The project gives him another outlet beyond his own releases and forms part of his wider work within electronic music.
Telekinesis is available now on Spotify and Beatport. The single was released on October 23.
