From Instrumental to Vocal Hit
Avicii originally released the instrumental Bromance in April 2010 under his Tim Berg alias. Several months later, Tim Bergling paired the melodic core with vocals from Amanda Wilson, connected to Samuele Sartini and Amanda Wilson's Love U Seek, to create Seek Bromance. The vocal version expanded the track's reach beyond clubs and into the mainstream.
Seek Bromance climbed to No. 13 on the UK Singles Chart and spent 13 weeks inside the Top 100, all before Levels arrived in 2011. The track showcased the melodic progressive house sound that would define Avicii's early catalogue.
Early Remixes and Recent Tributes
Porter Robinson created an official remix in 2010, early in his own career, while a bootleg attributed to Axwell circulated around the same time. These versions appeared during the original release period, before Avicii reached global recognition.
In 2026, John Summit debuted an unreleased remix during his first show in Sweden at Förbindelsehallen in Stockholm on June 26. According to John Summit, the timing felt right when he had the chance to play in Tim Bergling's home country, and he described Avicii as a constant inspiration.
Sixteen years after its 2010 release, Seek Bromance continues to appear in DJ sets and tributes, cementing its place as one of Avicii's earliest international successes.
