TL;DR

Argentinian producer Basslovd has won the 2026 edition of Edmwarriors' 'Make It' competition with his house track 'Keep It Simple.' The producer, who has released on Revealed Recordings, Protocol Recordings, and Spinnin' Records, completed the winning track just two hours before the Round 3 deadline after entering the competition three times previously.

Fourth Time's the Charm

Basslovd has won the 2026 edition of Edmwarriors' 'Make It' competition, an international production contest that drew hundreds of submissions from electronic music producers worldwide. After several rounds of judging, organizers announced this week that the Argentinian producer's house track 'Keep It Simple' had taken the grand prize, citing its originality and clarity.

The track came together under pressure. Basslovd said he began producing it barely a day before Edmwarriors' Round 3 deadline, working from drums outward to vocals and chords, and finished with only two hours to spare. He'd entered the 'Make It' competition three separate times before finally winning.

From Remix Contests to Major Labels

For the Argentinian producer, the win caps a long and circuitous path. His career stretches back roughly 15 years, though it didn't gain real momentum until the pandemic, when a string of remix contest victories led to label releases. A 2021 debut on Hardwell's Revealed Recordings was followed by a SoundCloud remix that found its way onto SiriusXM airwaves and earned support from Don Diablo and Bingo Players.

By 2023, three of his tracks had each surpassed a million streams and the producer landed releases on Nicky Romero's Protocol Recordings and the storied Dutch imprint Spinnin' Records, a label admired since childhood.

A YouTube Rabbit Hole

Basslovd traces his production journey back to a simple search. "It all started with a YouTube search," he said. "I typed 'how to make reggaeton' after hearing Daddy Yankee's 'Gasolina,' and that rabbit hole led me to music production. A few months later, I discovered EDM through Martin Garrix and a duo called Capital Kings, and something clicked. That curiosity never really left, and I think that's what kept me going through the harder stretches."

'Make It' is powered by Edmwarriors, a creators-first marketplace where DJs and artists connect with producers through co-production, ghost production, and other collaborative services. The competition was designed to give producers a stage where their tracks could speak for themselves, regardless of label backing or industry connections.
