Insomniac is relocating Beyond Wonderland Chicago to Chicagoland Speedway for 2027, rebranding the event as Beyond Wonderland Midwest and expanding it to a three-day format. The festival will run June 11–13, 2027, marking a shift from its longtime home at Northerly Island.
Three Days and On-Site Camping
The move represents a significant scale-up for the Midwest event, which has operated as a two-day festival in recent years. Beyond Wonderland Midwest will introduce on-site camping for the first time, offering four nights of accommodations with both car camping and RV camping options. The expanded footprint will also include larger stage production, extended operating hours, and additional experiential programming beyond the main stages.
Ticket Options and VIP Access
Tickets go on sale Friday, June 19 at 12:00pm CT / 10:00am PT at Chicago.BeyondWonderland.com. Available passes include three-day GA, GA+, VIP, car camping, RV camping, and a Thursday pre-party option. VIP access — which includes expedited entry, exclusive viewing areas, and premium food and beverage — is restricted to attendees 21 and older.
Returning to a Familiar Venue
Chicagoland Speedway carries some history for Insomniac, having previously hosted EDC Chicago in 2013. The 2026 edition of Beyond Wonderland Chicago ran June 6–7 at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island, featuring ACRAZE B2B Wax Motif, Alan Walker, DJ Snake, Excision, Green Velvet, Layton Giordani, Tiësto, Zedd, and Zeds Dead.
The 2027 edition marks the festival's first year under the Beyond Wonderland Midwest name and its debut as a multi-day camping destination.
