TL;DR

Flying Fish beer is running an international contest that will send 24 winners to Romania for a Halloween rave inside Bran Castle, the Transylvania fortress marketed as Dracula's Castle. The November 7 event will feature DJ sets from Sickick and Dubdogz, with entries open until October 20 across six countries.

“When you think about Halloween, Dracula is one of those rare characters that transcends generations, borders and cultures, so we wanted to take people directly into the heart of that legend”

A beer brand is turning the home of Dracula—or at least the tourist version of it—into a dancefloor this fall. Flying Fish, owned by the world's largest brewing company, is flying winners to Romania for a Halloween-themed rave inside Bran Castle, the Transylvania fortress long marketed as the legendary vampire's home.

Contest Open Across Six Countries

The promotion, called 'Do You Dare to Party at Dracula's Castle?', is currently accepting entries through October 20 in South Africa, Brazil, Mexico, Belgium, Peru and Canada. Four winners from each market will receive an all-inclusive trip, culminating in access to the invite-only party at the castle. The November 7 rave will feature DJ sets from Sickick and Dubdogz.

The Myth Behind the Venue

The choice of venue leans on a myth that has outgrown its own history. Bran Castle rose in 1377 on the order of a Hungarian king, erected to guard a mountain pass between Wallachia and Transylvania, and its walls have far more to do with medieval border disputes than with vampires. Vlad the Impaler, the fifteenth century ruler whose brutality inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula character, was briefly held captive in the area but by most historical accounts never lived within the castle itself. The fortress later passed to Romania's royal family and served as a retreat for Queen Marie before opening to tourists, who now visit by the hundreds of thousands each year.

Flying Fish built the campaign with the agency Wieden+Kennedy Mexico and the creative studio We Are Collider. Jessica Apellaniz, Chief Creative Officer at Wieden+Kennedy Mexico, said the goal was to take people directly into the heart of the legend rather than create another Halloween campaign people simply watch from afar.

The rave is scheduled for November 7, 2026.
