Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Bright Lights has confirmed the existence of an unreleased collaboration with Avicii and David Guetta.
Instagram Comment Sparks Revelation
The vocalist, whose real name is Heather Bright, revealed the track in the comment section of a recent Instagram post promoting her upcoming album. When a fan asked whether she had made any tracks with Avicii that she could release, Bright wrote "there actually is one track… with Aviici and Guetta," adding that she might "pull it out and dust off the cobwebs."
No title or further details followed, but the confirmation alone is notable. Avicii left behind a deep well of unreleased material that has surfaced sporadically in the years since, including his posthumous album TIM in 2019.
A Catalog of Electronic Classics
Bright's catalog already comprises several electronic classics. She wrote and provided the uncredited vocals on Porter Robinson's 2012 breakout single "Language," which is now widely considered a generational dance anthem, and has since worked with Zedd, Hardwell, Benny Benassi and many others.
She also announced that the closing track from her new album, "All's Well That Ends," includes the full vocal version of the song that would go on to become "Language." The album is expected soon, though the Avicii and Guetta collaboration will not appear on the project.
