BSH Events Brings Carl Cox to Ancient Quarry Site
BSH Events will close out its summer season on August 7, 2026, with Carl Cox headlining Cave Romane, a former Roman quarry near Vinkuran in Istria. The open-air performance continues the promoter's focus on historic Croatian venues, following its Gates of Agartha collaboration in June and parties with Amelie Lens and Black Coffee in July.
Cave Romane sits near Pula and is connected to the region's ancient stonework. Local tourism sources link the quarry to the stone used for the Arena of Pula, one of Croatia's best-known Roman landmarks. The site features limestone walls, exposed rock surfaces, and open vertical space that frame the dancefloor.
Production Designed Around the Quarry Structure
BSH Events is working with Highscream, the creative production company handling the visual concept for the night. The production plan includes laser mapping, lighting, and large-scale installations that respond to the quarry's existing structure rather than covering it with conventional stage setups.
The approach fits BSH Events' wider strategy of programming around architecturally significant locations across Croatia, where the venue itself plays a central role in the event experience.
Cox's Career Spans Multiple Eras of Dance Music
Carl Cox built his reputation across rare groove, electro, Chicago house, acid house, and techno before establishing long-running Ibiza residencies and global festival stages. His Music Is Revolution residency at Space Ibiza ran for 15 years before its final season in 2016, and his Carl Cox & Friends concept has become a fixture at major festivals including Ultra Music Festival.
The Cave Romane show marks another chapter in BSH Events' summer calendar, pairing a venue tied to Pula's architectural history with an artist whose career has followed dance music from early club spaces to major open-air stages.
