Change The Beat has partnered with techno artist Sara Landry and her label HEKATE Records on a remix competition for women and gender expansive artists. The global nonprofit is inviting its community to remix Landry and Alex Farell's track "Angel Dust," with the winning submission considered for an official release on HEKATE Records.

Prizes and Contest Details

The competition offers prizes from Native Instruments across the top three positions. First place receives a Komplete 15 Collector's Edition, second place takes home Komplete 15 Ultimate, and third place receives Komplete 15 Standard. Participants can also access Native Instruments' Komplete Start, a free collection of instruments and effects.

Open to aspiring artists globally who identify as female or gender expansive, the competition offers emerging producers a direct opportunity to connect with established artists, labels, and industry decision-makers. Submissions are open until Monday, October 5th, 2026 at 23:59 PST, with full contest details, rules, and stems available via the LabelRadar portal.

Broader Artist Development Initiatives

The remix contest builds on Change The Beat's recent pledge to support 300 women and gender expansive electronic music artists in securing label opportunities by 2028. The organization has already facilitated more than 100 label opportunities and signings through its network of labels, artists, and industry partners.

Sydney Blu of Change The Beat noted Sara Landry's role in championing other women in electronic music. She cited Landry bringing the Blood Oath artists on stage with her at Coachella as an example of creating visibility on one of the world's biggest stages, aligning with what Change The Beat is building.

The organization's relaunched Remix Contest Programme has created official remix and release opportunities through collaborations with labels including SIPPY, DeadBeats, Westend, Trace Amounts, and HEKATE Records, alongside previous partners Drumcode, mau5trap, Armada, Anjunadeep, Anjunabeats, HE.SHE.THEY, Insomniac Records, Nervous Records, and Toolroom Records.

International Tour on the Horizon

Change The Beat will soon announce an international tour bringing its artist development and industry access programs to cities across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Each tour date will combine live programming with practical workshops and industry panels. Upcoming dates will include fabric in London, Amsterdam Dance Event, and Marquee New York.

Submissions for the "Angel Dust" remix competition are open now through October 5th, 2026.
