Tech-house veterans unite on vocal-driven club track
Chris Lake and Tiga have released 'Party Time,' their first collaboration, via Lake's Black Book Records. The track centers on a hypnotic groove anchored by Aatig's vocal hook: "Party time is our time and our time is right now." Aatig, who is also Lake's wife, has appeared on fan-favorites 'In The Yuma' and 'Watch The Sunrise' from his debut album Chemistry, as well as FISHER's "Take It Off," which premiered during their b2b set at Coachella 2023.
Road-tested across summer headline shows
The track had already been circulating in sets well before its official release. Tiga dropped it during Lake's sold-out three-night stint at Brooklyn's Under The K Bridge in June, where the pair shared the bill. That stretch was part of a landmark month for Lake, who moved more than 55,000 tickets across five sold-out headline shows in New York and Los Angeles, including two nights at LA State Historic Park.
Both artists riding momentum into festival season
Tiga has had a busy year, releasing his first solo studio album in over a decade, HOTLIFE, and joining forces with Dom Dolla on 'Don't Worry Baby.' "Tiga has been one of those artists I've always admired," Lake said in a statement. "He's had such a lasting impact on dance music and continues to create at such a high level. I'm excited for people to finally hear what we created together."
Lake continues this weekend with a two-night stop at Chicago's Navy Pier before festival appearances at Elements, Global Dance and CRSSD, and a b2b with FISHER at Goldenvoice's inaugural Head Trip festival in October. Tiga has upcoming performances at HARD Summer, ARC and Splash House.
