The Miami nightlife staple is matching donations 1:1 for Venezuela earthquake relief from June 27 through July 6, raising funds to support disaster response efforts through the Global Empowerment Network. The initiative comes after powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela on June 24, causing catastrophic damage and prompting humanitarian organizations to mobilize emergency support.
Death toll climbs as relief mobilizes
The official death toll climbed to over 1,700 as of Wednesday morning but that number is likely much higher, according to the New York Times, since dozens of new bodies are still being discovered in the rubble. Relief efforts are expected to help affected communities with urgent needs such as food, water, medical supplies, shelter support and other recovery resources.
Donation options integrated into ticket sales
Miami is home to a large Venezuelan community, and Club Space said it is standing with Venezuelans abroad as well as those within its own city. The club has added donation options to DICE pages for all shows taking place at the Terrace, Ground and Floyd during the campaign window, giving ticket-buyers a direct way to contribute while purchasing event access.
Club Space has also created a general donation page for those who are not attending a show but still want to support the relief effort. Every eligible donation made during the June 27 through July 6 window will be matched by the venue, doubling the impact of contributions.
