Two-Weekend Format Debuts in May 2027
Insomniac has confirmed that EDC Las Vegas will expand to two weekends in 2027, marking the first time the festival has adopted a multi-weekend format. The first weekend, EDC Dusk, is scheduled for May 14-16, 2027, with EDC Dawn following May 21-23, 2027. A series of EDC Week events will bridge the two weekends across Las Vegas, creating twelve consecutive days of programming.
The announcement comes on the heels of EDC's 30th anniversary edition, which drew more than 500,000 attendees to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway last weekend. Founder Pasquale Rotella cited overcrowding and rising costs as the primary drivers behind the decision to split the festival. Both weekends will operate at reduced capacity to ease congestion on the festival grounds, in hotels, and across Las Vegas airspace and roads.
Ticket Pricing and Packages
General admission passes for either weekend will start at $399, a reduction from previous years. Insomniac will also offer "EDC Dusk Till Dawn" packages covering both weekends, starting at $599. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 22, 2026, at 12 p.m. PT on the festival's website.
The two-weekend format has been the subject of industry speculation for years. EDC launched as a one-day event in 1996 and has since grown into one of the largest music festivals in the world.
