A Custom DJ Rig on Wheels
Miami DJ and entrepreneur Eddy Palermo will attempt to run 50 kilometers while performing a continuous live DJ set on August 8, 2026, at The Underline, Miami's 10-mile linear park and urban trail. The event, dubbed BPMATHON, will see Palermo use a custom-built, self-pushed DJ rig on wheels to perform throughout the full distance, which stretches from Brickell to Dadeland beneath the Metrorail.
The challenge is estimated to take seven hours. Palermo will start at 6:30 p.m. at The Underline Inter Stage, 805 SW 1st Ave.
Raising Funds for Friends of The Underline
BPMATHON will raise money for Friends of The Underline, a Miami-based nonprofit dedicated to transforming public space into opportunities for healthier, more active living. The organization encourages people to be active and decompress from the stresses of modern life through running, biking, and walking.
Palermo's event brand ZENSKI, founded in 2024, will activate along the course with a live pop-up party experience designed to transform sections of the race path into immersive music moments. ZENSKI is known for immersive decor, inclusive experiences, and a commitment to female-forward lineups within electronic music culture.
Combining Two Passions
Palermo discovered electronic music as a teenager at Ultra Music Festival and later spent hours at Club Space. Between 2020 and 2025, he completed 14 endurance races, including 7 Ironman competitions and 7 marathons. The idea for BPMATHON came after he saw videos online of people running 5Ks while DJing.
Official partners for the event include ZENSKI, AlphaTheta, MIAFMTV, Orbit Baby, StrollRunner, and Buzz Bomb, with more to be announced. Palermo has said the event marks the first chapter in a wider global movement uniting music, endurance, and wellness, with plans to curate further BPMATHON events globally.
