Australian house producer FISHER has been cast in a voice role for the Australian and New Zealand release of Disney and Pixar's Toy Story 5. He will play Garden Gnome, a member of a small community of forgotten toys living in an abandoned backyard shed.
The character and the story
The film picks up after the fourth installment, in which Woody left Bonnie's toybox to explore the world with Bo Peep. This time, Woody reunites with Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and the rest of the gang to rescue Bonnie's imagination from a sleek smart tablet named Lilypad.
Tom Hanks and Tim Allen return as Woody and Buzz, alongside Joan Cusack as Jessie, Blake Clark as Slinky Dog, and Tony Hale as Forky.
FISHER on joining the franchise
"I am incredibly excited to be part of Toy Story 5," FISHER said. "This is a franchise that my family and I have loved for years — I can't wait to watch it with my kids."
Toy Story 5 opens exclusively in Australian and New Zealand cinemas on June 18, 2026.
