Funk Tribu has released a new single called 'Voodoo' on his own label TRIBE. The track arrives in time for Halloween weekend, bringing a darker, club-focused edge while staying rooted in the trance sound the producer has built his reputation on.
Peak-Time Trance With a Seasonal Edge
Funk Tribu built 'Voodoo' around a driving kick pattern and a topline designed to stick. The track pairs melodic euphoria with raw energy, sharpening the formula he's known for rather than rewriting it. It's aimed squarely at peak-time sets and late-night dancefloors.
From Breakout Streams to Global Festival Stages
The Colombia-born, Berlin-based producer has turned a distinctive take on contemporary trance into a global following over the past few years. His breakout records have racked up hundreds of millions of streams, and that momentum has carried him to stages including Tomorrowland, Awakenings, EDC and Dour. At this year's Amsterdam Dance Event, he played four secret sets and linked up for back-to-backs with Pegassi, KI/KI and Marlon Hoffstadt.
Building Out TRIBE as a Creative Collective
Funk Tribu's catalog includes collaborations with Armin van Buuren and remix work for Boys Noize, but returning to his own imprint for 'Voodoo' signals a focus on building out TRIBE as a vehicle for his own vision. Launched in 2025, the label and creative collective positions itself around community and a shared visual identity as much as the music. Early releases like 'Azul' and 'Hold On', along with tracks from Afem Syko, Linds and BK, have broadened the project's identity beyond its founder's discography.
'Voodoo' is out now on TRIBE via all streaming platforms.
