“A challah can become a conversation, a work of art or a rave”

Programming Spans Seven Cities

The festival kicks off November 6 in Chicago with a challah-on-a-stick Shabbat dinner and wraps November 29 in London with an intergenerational conversation on Jewish food, heritage and identity. Author Jake Cohen opens the New York leg at William Greenberg Desserts, while cookbook author Joan Nathan will host open Q&A sessions.

Late-Night Rave Anchors New York Weekend

The Challah Rave represents the festival's most unconventional offering, pairing traditional baking with club culture. Chef Einat Admony and DJ Falmer are also teaming up with OneTable for a beat-heavy Kabbalat Shabbat in New York. According to FOODISH CEO Merav Oren, "A challah can become a conversation, a work of art or a rave."

The five U.S. stops also include VIP brunches and Friday-night dinners. Full programming for each city is available on the FOODISH website.
