Goldenvoice Unveils Head Trip Stage Design by High Scream

Goldenvoice has revealed the stage production for Head Trip, the one-time EDM festival set for October 10-11 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. The design comes from High Scream, the Parisian creative studio founded by Romain Pissenem, whose portfolio includes [UNVRS], Ushuaïa Ibiza, Hï Ibiza, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games closing ceremony, and immersive shows at Madison Square Garden and the Great Pyramids of Giza.

A sci-fi structure that meets the desert

Pissenem and his team conceived a sci-fi-inspired structure designed to resemble a foreign object making contact with the desert, hovering over the grounds while integrating into the surrounding landscape. The structure uses reflective materials to interact with Indio's natural elements and draws visual cues from the venue itself, including the airstreams that dot the site during Coachella.

Rather than building separate systems for screens, lighting, video and architecture, High Scream wove them into a single visual experience. The production extends deep into the crowd, with lasers and lighting turning the festival floor into what Pissenem calls a "forest of light."

Unified experience across the grounds

"Electronic music is based on party and celebration and putting people together to dance together, to celebrate together," Pissenem said in the announcement video. "For us, it was extremely important to make sure wherever you are, it's a universal experience."

Goldenvoice described the production as built to ensure every attendee feels at the center of the party, whether at the rail, lost in the crowd, or dancing in the back.

The inaugural festival features headline performances by Calvin Harris, Skrillex, and Swedish House Mafia, along with collaborative sets from FISHER b2b Chris Lake and Peggy Gou b2b Four Tet. Head Trip takes place October 10-11 at the Empire Polo Club, the home of Coachella.
