GRiZ and Subtronics will bring GRIZTRONICS at The Gorge back for Memorial Day Weekend 2027 with a third day of programming and early camping options designed to address the operational problems that marred the festival's sold-out debut this spring.
Wednesday Camping and Thursday Pre-Party Added
The 2027 edition will offer Wednesday camping so fans can arrive before the weekend rush. A Thursday pre-party will entertain early arrivals while the rest of the festival fills in. Organizers also plan to open more lanes and add staff to camping check-in, responding to attendee reports of long delays during the festival's first year.
Security and Operations Overhaul
The Gorge amphitheater is bringing on extra security staff to improve movement through the venue and surrounding grounds. While details remain scarce, much of the announced overhaul appears aimed at the logistical complaints that followed the festival's May 23-24 debut.
From Dubstep Track to Festival Franchise
The festival grew out of the duo's 2019 dubstep collaboration "Griztronics." The 2026 debut featured GRiZ's "Chasing the Golden Hour" set, a headlining performance from Subtronics, and the first official back-to-back set the two have played together.
Subtronics recently opened up about his expanding role in festival production, noting he's been "enjoying dipping my toes and slowly scaling up all our curated events as we gain experience." Neither artist has revealed a lineup for 2027. The festival is produced by Live Nation.
