Pershing Square will host a free outdoor concert on Saturday, August 29, featuring four vocalists who helped define 90s dance music. Haddaway, Robin S, Crystal Waters, and Ultra Naté headline the event, dubbed Ditch Party and organized by Southern California promotion team Happy Group.
The Lineup
Robin S brought house music into mainstream pop with her 1990 track "Show Me Love." A year later, Crystal Waters released "Gypsy Woman (She's Homeless)," which topped singles charts in five countries. Haddaway delivered one of the decade's most recognizable crossover moments with his 1993 Eurodance track "What Is Love," which soundtracked Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan's scenes in A Night at the Roxbury. Ultra Naté cemented her status as a club icon with "Free," her 1997 anthem that dominated the scene into the early 2000s.
Venue and Entry
Admission is first-come, first-served, and security will close the gates once Pershing Square reaches maximum occupancy, according to Happy Group. Doors open at 3pm.
The concert offers a rare chance to see these vocalists live without a ticket purchase. The event takes place this Saturday in downtown Los Angeles.
