Hardwell and W&W have released 'Bangkok,' a single that doubles down on every signature element of mid-2010s festival EDM. The track features the era's defining mechanics: "hands in the air" vocal samples, a "3, 2, 1, go" countdown, and the massive drops that once dominated main stages from Miami to Boom.

Second Collaboration in Two Weeks

'Bangkok' follows 'Turn Up The Bass,' released just two weeks earlier by the same trio. The producers acknowledged the demand on social media, writing: "We heard you guys wanted more of that Hardwell x W&W sound. So we had to drop another one together."

Genre Sees Measurable Resurgence

The release coincides with a documented revival of big room house. Early-2025 research from MIDiA and Splice showed that downloads of the genre's samples surged by an average of 188.9% annually over the two years prior, with over 5.3 million in 2024 alone. The numbers suggest producers are reaching back to a sound that was declared dead by the late 2010s, when tech house took over festival lineups.
