Big Room Reunion Nearly 13 Years Later
Hardwell and W&W have released a new single, 'Turn Up The Bass,' on Hardwell's Revealed Recordings label. The collaboration arrives nearly 13 years after the Dutch producers' 2013 track 'Jumper,' which helped define the big room house sound of that era.
The new track follows the blueprint of their earlier work, built around a booming synth melody and call-and-response structure designed for festival crowds. Moving at 145 BPM, it targets fans who remember the peak years of big room house at Ultra and Tomorrowland.
Genre Sees Unexpected Revival
The release comes during what the source describes as an unlikely resurgence of big room house. Research from MIDiA and Splice in early 2025 showed downloads of big room house samples surged by an average of 188.9% annually over the two years prior, with over 5.3 million downloads in 2024 alone.
'Turn Up The Bass' is out now on Revealed Recordings.
