From S2O to EDC Korea's Main Stage
A year after their U.S. debut at S2O Los Angeles, Hong Kong DJ and producer duo HO HO ONE have continued to notch international firsts. Eric Kwok and Dan James recently became the only Hong Kong act to perform on the main stage at EDC Korea 2026, bringing their Cantopop-meets-EDM sound to one of the world's largest electronic music festivals.
Stepping onto the main stage at EDC was a huge moment for us. EDC is one of those festivals that every electronic artist dreams of playing, so to be there representing Hong Kong made it even more special. Being the only Hong Kong act on that stage was an honor, but we also hope it's the beginning of seeing more Hong Kong artists represented at major international festivals.
Building a Festival Set with Cantopop at Its Core
The duo approached their EDC Korea set with an eye toward sustaining energy while preserving their identity. When you're playing a stage like EDC, you know the energy has to be there from beginning to end. Our approach was to create a set that delivered the intensity and excitement people expect from a major electronic festival while staying true to what makes HOHO ONE different. We wanted to bring together powerful drops, recognizable melodies, and the Cantopop influences that are such a big part of our identity.
What makes HOHO ONE different is that we're bringing a sound that isn't commonly heard on the international festival circuit. We're taking the melodies, emotions, and nostalgia of Cantopop and combining them with the energy of modern EDM. It's a unique combination of East and West, and we believe that gives us something fresh to offer the global electronic music community.
Halloween Headliner with Custom Visuals
On November 1, the duo headlines SPOOKY HALLOWEEN 2026 in Hong Kong. There's something really special about coming home after performing on international stages. Hong Kong is where HOHO ONE began, and it's the musical culture that inspires everything we do. At the same time, we're actually exceptionally nervous because so many of my friends will be there watching.
The pair plans to debut a full visual production built around their identity. We had a chance to experiment with this at S2O, but due to the limited preparation time, we weren't able to bring the full concept to life. This time, we've had much more time to develop it properly, so we're really looking forward to sharing the complete visual experience with the crowd.
Their latest single, Ferris Wheel, reimagines a classic Cantopop hit originally written by Eric and made famous by Eason Chan. The SPOOKY HALLOWEEN set promises unreleased edits and Halloween-themed surprises alongside tracks from their growing catalog.
