From Ultra Miami to Studio Release
ILLENIUM and Marshmello have released "Close My Eyes," their first original collaboration featuring vocalist SACHA. The track arrives via Marshmello's Joytime Collective, marking the pair's first original studio work together following ILLENIUM's remix of Marshmello's "Silence" nearly a decade ago.
The single first surfaced during ILLENIUM's headline set at Ultra Miami this past March, when he brought out the helmeted producer for a surprise Mainstage appearance. It resurfaced again during the duo's b2b set at Red Rocks in August, after which fans closely tracked its studio release.

The track opens with airy guitar plucks as SACHA's intimate vocals describe a retreat into sleep as a way to avoid grief: "Close my eyes / 'Cause only when I'm dreaming / I see the other side / Where it's just you and I." It then climbs into a future bass drop layered with bright synth stabs, creating a seamless blend of ILLENIUM's melodic sensibilities and Mello's pop instincts.
What's Next for Both Artists
The release follows a busy stretch for ILLENIUM, who spent much of the year touring his sixth studio album, ODYSSEY, including a headline residency at the Vegas Sphere. Marshmello remains just as busy, headlining Breakaway Philadelphia this month alongside Tiësto and returning to his regular Encore Beach Club residency in Las Vegas throughout the fall.
"Close My Eyes" is available now on streaming platforms.
