TL;DR

Jack Emery released his EP 'Everlast' on March 13 via Purified Records, featuring three tracks that balance club-ready energy with emotional depth. The melodic house producer recently completed a North American tour through New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Miami, and has two new singles with vocalists planned for summer release.

“After plays in Poland, The Netherlands, I was able to use her direct live crowd feedback to polish the final version of the track.”

Crafting the 'Everlast' EP for Purified Records

Jack Emery released his latest EP, Everlast, on March 13 through Purified Records. The three-track release showcases different facets of his melodic house sound, from the driving title track to the more experimental "Up and Down" and "Rise."

"When I made the EP I really wanted to showcase the instrumental side of my music while also adding some diversity to my sound," Emery explained. "The title track, 'Everlast' features a more-driving, clubbier sound that I've been enjoying in the studio and in my sets while 'Up and Down' and 'Rise' are more emotional and experimental. I definitely had a lot of fun with the synth layers and arrangements in this EP."

Crowd-Testing Tracks with Nora En Pure

The title track "Everlast" went through an iterative process before its final release, with label head Nora En Pure testing multiple versions during her European shows. Emery refined the track based on direct feedback from those performances.

"The coolest part was Nora En Pure's feedback when she first started testing the title track 'Everlast' in her shows around Europe," he said. "After plays in Poland, The Netherlands, I was able to use her direct live crowd feedback to polish the final version of the track."

North American Tour and Reading the Room

Emery recently wrapped a North American tour that took him through New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Miami. The run gave him the opportunity to test unreleased material and study how different audiences respond to his music.

"I really enjoy the feeling of testing new unreleased music in front of crowds and learning how each crowd is different to each other," he noted. "It's really rewarding when you read the crowd and learn what makes them move."

The producer has two new singles with vocalists planned for summer release. He's also released "Running" with British deep house singer-songwriter MØØNE. Emery's music has received support from Meduza and Sultan + Shepard, and he continues to develop his presence in the melodic house and melodic techno scenes.
