TL;DR

John Summit has announced a December 12 stadium show at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, serving as the finale of his CTRL ESCAPE arena tour. The tour kicks off October 1 in Champaign, Illinois, and takes its name from his sophomore album, which dropped on Tax Day. Summit plans to bring a Severance-inspired corporate office aesthetic to the stage production.

Stadium Finale Caps 23-Date Arena Run

John Summit will close his CTRL ESCAPE North American tour with a December 12 performance at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The stadium show follows a 22-date arena run that begins October 1 in Champaign, Illinois, the college town where Summit studied accounting before pivoting to music.

The tour includes two-night stands in Miami, Chicago, Oakland, and Fort Worth, with stops in Toronto, Boston, Washington D.C., Houston, Austin, Columbus, Charlotte, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Brooklyn. Pre-sale tickets for the LA show go on sale August 19 at 10am PT, with general on-sale following August 20 at the same time.

Severance-Inspired Stage Design

Summit has said he pulled inspiration from the Apple TV+ series Severance when developing the stage production. "I'm going to bring the corporate cubicle kind of lifestyle to the stage," Summit said. "It's kind of like a Severance-type vibe, but turning these arenas into giant corporate offices and also a rave."

The tour takes its name from his sophomore album, which was released on Tax Day—a date Summit once dreaded during his accounting career. The announcement comes fresh off his headline performance at Chicago's Lollapalooza festival.
