Independent Label, Top 10 Chart Position
Josh Baker has landed at No. 10 on the Beatport Top 100 with "Breaking Point," the title track from his new four-track EP released August 28 on his own You&Me imprint. The milestone is notable for an independent release without major-label support, especially arriving less than a week after its street date.
Four Tracks, Four Moods
The Breaking Point EP spans Baker's range: "Over You" features London vocalist LEILAH, "House With Acres" leans into garage with UK MC Capo Lee, and "Your Star" pairs Baker with Anabel Englund, a fixture in American house music for the past decade.
A Breakout Year in Motion
Baker's 2026 has included a You&Me party residency at Amnesia in Ibiza, a Creamfields mainstage slot, and an upcoming two-night takeover at Manchester's Warehouse Project—the first artist ever to do so. The first night sold out in approximately five minutes. A North American tour and an Amsterdam Dance Event appearance are scheduled for November.
The track enters a top 10 dominated by groove-first house and tech house on artist-run labels. Tommy Phillips holds No. 1 with "Sun Is Shining (Lovelee Dae)," and Beave's "1997" recently entered the top three. With the Warehouse Project dates and a tour ahead, "Breaking Point" may hold its position through the fall.
