Krewella Release Fourth Album 'Peak' After Extended Hiatus

A Return After Stepping Back

Krewella released Peak through Mixed Kids Records, their first album since 2022's The Body Never Lies. After that release, the sisters stopped touring and releasing music entirely, going quiet for the better part of two years before resurfacing in 2025 with a string of singles that built toward this project.

The album moves across styles and showcases the duo's vocal work, from pop-facing hooks on 'press play' and 'the blueprint' to the heavier, bass-driven 'Hear Me Now' and the melodic techno of 'Crying On The Dancefloor' and 'Something Sacred.'

Visual Identity and Impermanence

The album's cover art was shot inside an electronic recycling facility and features decaying circuit boards and gutted hard drives overtaken by ivy and flowers. The imagery speaks to impermanence, a theme that surfaces in the title track's lyrics: "The world is moving faster, and I just can't keep up. Call me when it's over, when I'm a particle of dust."

Tour Dates Through November

Krewella will take the album on the road starting September 18 in Boston, with a Chicago date the following night. A Sunday set at Excision's Lost Lands Music Festival in Ohio follows on September 20, then a show at London's Drumsheds and a run of North American club dates through November.
