Krewella Return With 'PEAK,' Their First Album in Four Years

Krewella are officially back in album mode. Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf released PEAK on Friday through their own Mixed Kids Records, their fourth studio album and their first full-length since 2022's The Body Never Lies. Four years is a long time in dance music, and you can hear every bit of that time in these 12 tracks.

From Techno to Pop Across 12 Tracks

The sisters seeded the record generously ahead of release — "press play," "the blueprint," "Hear Me Now," "Crying On The Dancefloor" and "Something Sacred" all arrived as singles — but the album hangs together as more than a playlist. It opens cinematic with "lost in Paraty," swings hard into techno territory on "Hear Me Now" and "TILL IT HITS!" (the heaviest thing here, all harsh bass and sultry vocals), then lands soft with a stretch of gentler, melodic tracks to close. Pop hooks, melodic techno, proper low-end — it's a lot of ground for one record, and they cover it without losing the thread.

Wrestling With Time and Burnout

The title track is where the sisters tip their hand thematically. "The world is moving faster, and I just can't keep up. Call me when it's over, when I'm a particle of dust," they sing, wrestling with time, burnout and even AI's creep into artistry. The album art doubles down on the idea: the duo shot it in an electronics recycling facility, posed among discarded tech overgrown with ivy and flowers.

A Different Krewella

If you came up in the "Alive" era, this is a very different Krewella — and that's the point. The duo spent their years away from the road reconnecting personally and musically, and according to the announcement they treated that time off as more valuable than any of the milestones that came before it.

Krewella's album tour kicks off September 18, 2026 in Boston, then runs through November across North America and Europe. The record's streaming everywhere now.
