Tomorrowland has entered a three-year strategic partnership with KuCoin, naming the crypto platform the festival's Official Exclusive Crypto Exchange and Crypto Payments Partner from 2026 through 2028. The collaboration debuted during the festival's Belgium edition with the launch of the Celestia Stage and integrated payment technology across the grounds.
Co-Created Stage Hosts Anniversary Celebration
During Weekend 2 of Tomorrowland Belgium, KuCoin marked its ninth anniversary at the Celestia Stage with a curated lineup featuring Mark Knight, Mr. Belt & Wezol, Belters Only, Bingo Players with Iceman, Dada Life, Sander van Doorn, and Dannic b2b Dyro. According to managing director Sabina Liu, the stage was co-created rather than simply sponsored.
"This was never intended to be just a branded stage—it was a true creative collaboration between KuCoin and Tomorrowland," Liu explained. "Tomorrowland brought its extraordinary creative vision and world-class stage design expertise, while KuCoin worked closely with the team to help shape the story, the experience and the values the stage represents."
The Celestia name reflects what Liu described as "curiosity, transformation and the courage to explore what's next—values that have always been at the heart of both Tomorrowland and KuCoin."
Crypto Payments and Global Livestreams
The partnership introduced several on-site activations. Interactive "KuCoin Guardians" roamed the festival grounds in Celestia-themed costumes, while the platform tested crypto payment options including the limited-edition KuCard for purchasing food, drinks, and merchandise. KuCoin also streamed official Tomorrowland sets directly through its app in select regions, extending access to fans unable to attend in person.
"By presenting the official livestream on the KuCoin App in certain regions, the team is helping bring that experience to millions of people around the world," Liu said. "Whether someone is standing in front of the stage in Belgium or watching from another continent, they can still feel part of the same cross-border community."
Multi-Year Vision Extends Beyond Belgium
KuCoin's partnership extends to Tomorrowland Winter and future editions of the festival. Liu emphasized a long-term, evolving approach rather than repeating identical activations each year. "Our ambition isn't simply to return each year. It's to keep creating experiences that people remember long after the festival ends," she said.
The partnership runs through 2028, with plans to expand digital engagement, community activations, and the integration of digital assets into the festival experience. Liu noted that the priority remains building a solid foundation at Tomorrowland Belgium before scaling to other editions.
