Months-Long Hiatus Includes Tomorrowland Weekend
Like Mike, one half of Belgian duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, announced this week he is stepping away from touring for several months to focus on his health. Michael Thivaios revealed the decision on social media, confirming he will miss performances at Tomorrowland in Belgium, where the first show was scheduled for this weekend.
Thivaios and his brother Dimitri have been resident headliners at Tomorrowland since 2006, performing at every edition of the festival and serving as ambassadors for the brand.
Brother to Continue Solo Performances
Dimitri will perform the duo's scheduled shows solo during the hiatus, including dates at Tomorrowland and a summer residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza. Michael wrote that his brother will make every show unforgettable and that fans are in the best hands.
Thivaios clarified he is not stepping away from music entirely and will continue working in the studio. He did not specify the nature of his health challenges or provide a timeline for his return to touring.
