Linney has released TOUGH LOVE via her own label, Siren Records. The single follows a prolific solo run that includes wontletgo, slow burn, and The Crown. Where those tracks explored grief, tarot symbolism, and fantasy romance, her new single draws from a string of professional setbacks she weathered before writing it.

"'TOUGH LOVE' became a way of processing that stretch," Linney tells EDM.com. The result pairs her commanding vocal presence with animated electro house production and choral-style ad-libs.

Midway through, the arrangement drops into a gritty dubstep halftime break, trading the pop-house cadence for a jolt of low end before snapping back into the second chorus.
