Linney has released "BAD HABIT," a new solo single on her own Siren Records imprint. The track channels a gritty, unrelenting groove with lyrics that confront personal betrayal head-on.
A Song Born from Betrayal
The EDM.com Class of 2025 alum wrote the song during a difficult period following a falling-out with someone she trusted in the music industry. "I wrote it during a really difficult time, in the aftermath of a betrayal by someone I considered a friend in the industry," Linney said in a statement. "I wrote the song I needed to hear when I didn't quite know how to pick myself back up."
From the opening verse, the track pulls listeners into its dark sonic world. "You lit a match, I struck a nerve / Played me wrong, got what you deserve," she sings over the driving production.
A Prolific Year of Collaborations and Solo Work
"BAD HABIT" arrives during a strong year for Linney, who has established herself as one of the scene's most versatile artists. The producer, singer-songwriter, and DJ has collaborated with Crankdat on "Movement," Jai Wolf on "Afterlife," and Blanke on "Hysteria," among other high-profile partnerships. Earlier this year, she performed at Ultra Miami.
On the solo front, she has released a string of singles including "slow burn" and "TOUGH LOVE." "BAD HABIT" continues that momentum and is available now on streaming platforms.
