Lollapalooza 2026 Sees 10 Arrests, 67 Hospital Transports

Arrests Concentrated in First Three Days

The 10 arrests at Lollapalooza 2026 occurred across the first three days of the festival, with no incidents reported on Sunday, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. The charges ranged from misdemeanor trespassing and battery to felony drug possession.

Thursday night saw one of the more unusual cases when a 30-year-old Chicago man was allegedly caught flying an unauthorized drone over the festival from the Museum Campus. He reportedly gave officers a false name, refused to cooperate and requested medical attention. He faces a misdemeanor charge related to operating an unauthorized aircraft.

Backstage Brawl Leads to Felony Charge

On Saturday, a 23-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested after allegedly trying to force his way into a backstage area and punching the security guard who stopped him. Police reportedly found cocaine in his wallet, leading to a felony possession charge along with misdemeanor battery and trespassing counts.

Friday brought a separate assault case when a 21-year-old Michigan man was arrested after allegedly slapping a woman and trying to hit another man. He was charged with misdemeanor assault and battery.

Poncho Vendor Arrest Uncovers Outstanding Warrant

Also on Saturday, police arrested a 26-year-old man who was accused of selling $5 rain ponchos outside the festival without a peddler's license. Officers later found he had an outstanding warrant tied to a DuPage County drug case, according to court records. He was issued a citation for illegal peddling.

The remaining arrests involved misdemeanor allegations including trespassing, battery and reckless conduct. Those arrested ranged in age from 18 to 39.

The total of 10 arrests marks a slight decrease from 2025, when 12 people were arrested during the festival. Officials also reported 67 ambulance transports during the event. Lollapalooza's daily capacity is 115,000, meaning the four-day event can draw up to roughly 460,000 attendees across the weekend at Grant Park.
