How the System Works
The Loops Lab platform pairs a responsive stage with collectible DJ figurines. Each figurine is loaded with its own sound, loop, vocal snippet, or effect. Place a character on the stage and the hardware reads which figures are present, then blends their sounds together. Swap a figure out and the track shifts with real-time tempo adjustment.

Founded by a team of musicians and inventors, Loops Lab designed the product to make music creation accessible and hands-on. The company says its goal is to serve anyone from children crafting their first beat at the kitchen table to adults who want to become a DJ. The collectibility angle means every figurine becomes a new instrument, so building a library feels like assembling a personal sound palette. The stage was built with professional-grade audio to keep all characters in sync as the music changes.
App Integration and Accessories
The stage connects via Bluetooth to the Loops Lab app, which is required for use since the music plays through it. The app is available on iOS and Android devices. Loops Lab also offers accessories like the Loops Glow, a sound-reactive LED light rod designed to amplify the energy around the stage.
The Loops Lab starter set is available for $139. Attendees at EDC Las Vegas may have seen the technology on display at the festival.
