MALUGI Debuts on Ninja Tune with Paige Cavell Collaboration

A Label Debut Built for Peak Time

MALUGI has joined Ninja Tune, releasing his new single "Right Thing" via the label's Technicolour imprint. The German producer teamed up with UK singer-songwriter Paige Cavell for a track that leans into the uplifting, heavy-hitting production he's built his reputation on.

On "Right Thing," Cavell's vocals trace the feeling of finding a love that finally feels certain, singing about discovering something true and knowing the connection is real. MALUGI builds around that sentiment with production designed to turn a personal lyric into something made for a room full of strangers to feel together.

Dance Music as Communal Release

The approach reflects the throughline of MALUGI's catalog. He's built his sound on the idea that dance music works best as a communal release valve, a place where people can drop the ego and just move. As a neurodivergent artist, MALUGI has talked about finding a sense of belonging on the dancefloor that he struggled to find elsewhere, and that experience shapes the music directly.

Festival Circuit and Collaborator Credentials

The single lands in the middle of MALUGI's busiest summer yet. He's already worked through sets at Parklife, Sonar, Hideout, Tomorrowland and Awakenings, plus a stop at David Guetta's UNVRS residency in Ibiza, with a support slot for Sammy Virji's headline show at London's Finsbury Park still to come in August.

Cavell has spent the past few years becoming one of the more in-demand vocalists in dance music. She's lent her voice to records with John Summit, Kaskade and ACRAZE, with her collaborations racking up tens of millions of streams along the way. Her track "Tears" put her on tour with Summit, including a sold-out night at Brixton Academy and a stop at the 18,000-capacity Kia Forum in LA. She's also worked in the studio with producers like Mark Ralph, Sam Merrifield, Jon Shave and Ollie Green, building a solo career on top of her session work.
