TL;DR

Martin Garrix announced that his second studio album, MARTY, will be released on March 5, 2027 via STMPD and Darkroom Records. He revealed the date during an intimate DJ set at P60 in Amstelveen, the venue where he played his first shows. The 14-track project marks a shift toward pop and features Garrix's own vocals on multiple tracks.

Martin Garrix will release his second studio album, MARTY, on March 5, 2027 via STMPD and Darkroom Records. The Dutch producer revealed the date Tuesday during a secret DJ set at P60 in Amstelveen, Netherlands, hosted in collaboration with Spotify.

Hometown surprise performance

The intimate event gave fans an early preview of new music ahead of the album's arrival. During the set, Garrix took the mic to address the crowd. "I played my first shows ever here at this venue," he said. "It means the world you guys are here tonight."

Among the highlights was the debut of an unreleased track featuring Garrix's own vocals, tentatively identified by fans as 'Ghost.' The performance continues a creative shift for the producer, who has recently begun recording his own voice on his productions.

A more personal, pop-driven direction

According to Darkroom, MARTY is a "debut pop album" over a decade in the making. The 14-track project blends pop and dance while bringing Garrix's own vocals to the forefront, marking a departure from the festival-oriented sound of his 2022 debut Sentio.

In March, Garrix released 'Catharina,' his first solo single to feature his own vocals, named after his mother. He followed up in October with 'This Dream of You,' which he had previously introduced during his 2026 Tomorrowland performance.

Speaking with Toronto's KiSS 92.5 in June, Garrix described the upcoming record as "more accessible" than his "very aggressive" debut album, emphasizing his desire to create music that offers listeners a sense of joy and connection. During an August interview with New York radio station Z100, he explained that he had previously recorded reference vocals for songs before replacing them with other singers, but decided to preserve his own voice on several particularly personal tracks for the new album.

Recent collaborations and what's next

The album announcement comes during a prolific period for Garrix, who released 'Repeat It,' his long-awaited collaboration with Ed Sheeran, in May before reuniting with U2 for 'Fireflies' in July. He formally announced the album on Instagram following the P60 show.

MARTY arrives March 5, 2027.
