MiNT XL Opens in Leeds With Sold-Out Launch Party

Three Rooms and a New Identity

MiNT XL officially opened on Friday, September 25, taking over the former PRYZM Leeds site in the city centre. The venue houses three rooms—Ballroom, Cage, and Clubroom—plus an open-air terrace. The Ballroom, the largest space, features a new Funktion-One Vero sound system and overhead ring lighting structure. The same sound system runs through all three rooms.

Cage, the second-floor room, was lit in orange during the opening and includes sofas and space for vinyl DJs. Clubroom, inspired by MiNT Warehouse, features a large ceiling light panel over the dancefloor. The VIP area and additional bar with seating occupy the second floor, while the terrace offers views of Leeds city centre.

Craig Richards, Enzo Siragusa, and Vinyl Sets Anchor Opening

The opening night featured the venue's own system. event series across all three rooms. Craig Richards played a back-to-back set with Francesco Del Garda in the Ballroom, while Foehn and Jerome performed in Cage. Fumiya Tanaka closed the Cage room with a vinyl session. Enzo Siragusa and Sonja Moonear also appeared on the opening line-up.

No-Phones Policy Shapes the Crowd

MiNT XL enforces a no-phones policy at all events. According to marketing manager Mikey McMahon, the team wanted attendees to feel part of something forward-thinking when they walked into the venue. The policy kept screens off the dancefloor during the launch.

The venue has announced future bookings including Ewan McVicar, Riordan, Morgan Seatree, and a Worried About Henry takeover. Organisers said they plan to expand beyond electronic music into other genres and live performance.
