A rising voice lands on a veteran's track
Tristan Henry is the voice behind Cloonee and Prospa's "Good Girl" from July, and those two have dominated the club charts lately, with "Free Your Mind" still parked in the Beatport Top 10. Landing on an MK record this quickly signals the moment he's having. Before this, he'd already logged features with Funkin Matt and DASCO, quietly becoming one of the most in-demand toplines in house.
Marc Kinchen's ear for what's next
Marc Kinchen has been producing house since Detroit in the early '90s, long before most of the current tech-house wave was born. He's the producer behind "17," the era-defining remix of Storm Queen's "Look Right Through" that went to No. 1 in the UK, and a catalog that's racked up over a billion streams. When he picks a vocalist, it's usually because he hears something the rest of the scene is about to catch onto.
A warm late-night roller
"Leaving" fits into that lineage. It's a moody, late-night roller with Henry's vocal doing the emotional heavy lifting over a classic MK bounce. Billboard's dance pages and the UK's Official Charts both flagged it among the week's notable new dance releases.
"Leaving" is out now on all streaming platforms.
