Moody Good has released SPEEEDBUMP 01, a seven-track EP on Deadbeats that doubles as the launch of a broader creative platform. First announced in February, the project encompasses not only music but also a record label, production house, and animation studio developed in collaboration with visual artist Ethan Demarest.
Industrial bass meets Brazilian influence
The EP's sound spans distorted low-end pressure, baile funk-inspired grooves, warped vocal cuts, industrial textures, and sharp rhythmic switches. Lead single 'Grinding' delivers one of the project's most direct moments, while 'Mouth Piece' featuring KARAN! pushes outward with Brazilian influence layered into Moody Good's signature industrial framework. Closer 'Super Cold Angel' shifts toward patient delivery and atmospheric sound design.
Audio-visual ecosystem
Each release in the SPEEEDBUMP series is designed as part of a complete audio-visual experience, with detailed sound design paired with a strong visual identity. The project represents Moody Good's most fully realized long-form statement to date, built entirely on his own creative terms.
SPEEEDBUMP 01 is available now on streaming services.
