MPH has built his reputation on velocity, but his latest single finds the UK garage producer pulling back the tempo. Long Goodbye trades his usual full-throttle approach for a piano-house framework, with buoyant chords layered over a spirited drum cadence.
Collaboration with Nathan Nicholson
The track features vocals from Nathan Nicholson, frontman of The Boxer Rebellion, whose dance music credits include work with Dom Dolla, Chris Lake, and Kygo. MPH produced, programmed, and played every instrument on the record, co-writing it with Nicholson.
"I've always wanted to make a really euphoric piano-house track with pure summer vibes," MPH said in a press release. "When Nathan sent his vocals, it all came together. 'Long Goodbye' is always a highlight in my sets as it lets everyone take a breath."
Festival Season and Headline Tour
The release arrives as MPH's profile continues to climb. He recently debuted an unreleased Skrillex collaboration at EDC Las Vegas and joined Swedish House Mafia onstage at Ultra Miami. This summer he will support FISHER at Ibiza's [UNVRS] in July before playing Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and CRSSD.
Long Goodbye is available now on streaming platforms. MPH's fall headline tour includes a November 28 show at New York's Knockdown Center.
