Second Collaboration in Two Years
NERO and Taiki Nulight have released a new single, "We're Not Alone," out now via UKF. The track reunites the pair after last year's rework of NERO's seminal dubstep song "Innocence," which landed in EDM.com's list of the best electronic tracks of 2025.
The release features vocals from Nottingham-based singer-songwriter Emily Makis, who has emerged as a force after working with electronic music icons like Skream and Benga over the last year. Her lyrics explore the concept of loneliness, which sometimes comes disguised as ordinary days that no longer feel like they belong to you.
Drum & Bass Meets Dubstep
NERO and Nulight craft a beat that starts with a drum & bass cadence before blooming into a dubstep drop. The production shimmers as they chop Makis' vocals to mirror the frantic anxiety of her lyricism.
"We're Not Alone" is available now on streaming platforms.
