TL;DR

October 16 delivers new releases from Alesso, FISHER, The Chainsmokers, HUGEL, and others across melodic house, bass, and techno. The Chainsmokers mark their first independent release after departing Columbia Records, while FISHER and HUGEL debut anticipated collaborations with LAUREL and Snoop Dogg. Bass artists Levity and Zen Selekta contribute tracks for Ultra Records and Deadbeats respectively.

October 16 brings a diverse wave of electronic releases across genres. Alesso and Kaitlin Aragon deliver Fight For Love, a melodic dance single the Swedish producer premiered at Ultra Japan in September. The track follows Alesso's In Your Eyes with OneRepublic and his two-track The One EP, released through Body Hi and Tomorrowland Music in August. Aragon recently collaborated with Kaskade and GLOCKENBACH on Runaway.

House Collaborations From FISHER and HUGEL

FISHER and LAUREL team up on Staring At The Sun, released via CATCH & RELEASE. The single pairs LAUREL's vocals with piano hooks and house production, drawing lyrical inspiration from the Greek myth of Icarus. FISHER played the track throughout 2026 at EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, Creamfields, and during his [UNVRS] Ibiza residency. His recent singles Rain, Favour, and What A Life have all reached No. 1 on Billboard's Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart.

HUGEL and Snoop Dogg join forces on H.O.U.S.E, fulfilling a 21-year ambition for the French DJ and producer. The partnership began when Snoop Dogg contacted HUGEL through Instagram, and the pair later performed together at Coachella. The single follows HUGEL's debut album Twenty One, which reached No. 1 on Spotify's Global Dance Albums Chart and has surpassed 650 million streams.

The Chainsmokers Go Independent

The Chainsmokers release Baby, their first single since announcing their departure from Columbia Records and Disruptor Records after 11 years. The duo confirmed the decision on October 14, explaining that they wanted greater freedom to experiment with future music. Drew Taggart and Alex Pall thanked their former team for more than a decade of success. The single follows their recent Love Is Kind EP and tracks including ALL THE TIME and Echo.

Bass and Experimental Releases

Levity and K.Flay collaborate on Slipping Away, released through Ultra Records on October 14. The bass-heavy single combines Levity's production with K.Flay's alternative rock influences. Levity played the song at Lost Lands and Experts Only Festival ahead of release. The collaboration follows their sold-out debut headline show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 2, where K.Flay joined them. Earlier this year, Levity performed at Coachella and EDC Las Vegas before touring with Tape B.

Zen Selekta makes her Deadbeats debut with All Massive, a bass single released through Zeds Dead's label. The track combines deep, percussive basslines and hypnotic textures inspired by soundsystem culture. Zen Selekta describes the song as a tribute to the dubstep sound that first inspired her and the people who keep that culture alive. The release follows her collaboration with A Hundred Drums on The Force and appearances on the Girls Wanna Have Fun tour. She has recently performed at Lost Lands, Wakaan Music Festival, and Seven Stars.

Innellea returns to his trance roots with RECKLESS 69, released through his belonging label. The track takes a faster and more playful approach to his melodic sound, following recent singles Slave to the Hype and Bounce Music. It comes with Reckless: The Movie, a satirical short film that questions image, hype, and manufactured personas in electronic music. Earlier this year, Innellea stepped away from performing after publicly admitting that he felt stuck in his career.

Martron collaborates with Tauklo on Hit The Road, an indie-electronic single with a drum and bass-inspired rhythm. The track marks the first single from Martron's upcoming Drive EP, scheduled for release on October 27. The release follows his March album Passion and comes after support from ODESZA, NGHTMRE, SLANDER, and Steve Aoki.
