OMIKI Remixes Armin van Buuren's 'Sunny Days' with Psytrance Edge

Progressive Psytrance Meets 2017 Vocal Hook

OMIKI has put his own spin on Armin van Buuren's hit track 'Sunny Days,' which features American singer-songwriter Josh Cumbee. The remix had been making the rounds in van Buuren's live sets before receiving an official release. OMIKI takes the track into heavier, club-friendly territory while keeping Cumbee's catchy vocal hook intact, blending progressive psytrance with a solid bassline, tribal beats, and a psychedelic drop.

Building on a Signature Sound

OMIKI has built a reputation for mixing psytrance with melodic techno, especially with tracks like 'RITMO' featuring Argy and Son of Son, and 'WIND,' also alongside Argy. This remix continues that approach, giving a fresh take on the classic that van Buuren and Cumbee originally dropped on June 16, 2017, through Armada Records. The original featured acoustic guitar elements paired with Cumbee's voice, with Club Mix and Extended Mix versions bringing additional dancefloor energy shortly after the initial release.

ASOT Recognition

The track earned recognition as Tune of the Week on A State of Trance Episode 1299, highlighting OMIKI's ability to balance the infectious energy of the original with his own psychedelic sensibility.
