Downtown Los Angeles will gain a new independent electronic music club when ORIGIN opens in the Arts District in late summer or early fall 2026. The venue marks a significant addition to a market long dominated by Exchange LA, which Insomniac has programmed since 2011.
Indoor-outdoor space at familiar Arts District address
ORIGIN will combine a state-of-the-art indoor event room with a large outdoor patio at 613 Imperial Street, the site of LOT 613, a warehouse and courtyard space with a history of live entertainment, club events and art-driven programming. The flexible layout is designed to accommodate raves, cultural programming and promoter-led events.
The venue is founded by Roni Mehrabian and Cyril Bitar, the team behind LA nightlife brands SBCLTR and Minimal Effort. Their event history includes LABRYINTO, Brunch Electronik, The Maze, FLOAT and Resolutions.
Custom sound system and futuristic design
Marc Dizon, whose credits include Brooklyn Mirage, Output, Hakkasan and Sound Nightclub, is leading ORIGIN's design. The venue will feature a custom analog KV2 Audio system tuned specifically for the indoor room, with a separate outdoor system engineered for open-air events.
Fridays will focus on live and indie electronic bookings while Saturdays will alternate between daytime outdoor events and late-night house and techno. ORIGIN will also host quarterly Arts District parties using both the indoor and outdoor portions of the venue. The first talent lineup will be revealed in the coming weeks.
