Orjan Nilsen and Mark Sixma have released a new single as Nilsix, their collaborative project launched in 2023. "Chill Bill" arrives via Dreamstate Records and marks the duo's ninth release on the label.

A fusion of rave and trance

The track blends trance elements with classic rave influences, built around vibrant square wave basslines and sharp synth stabs. Glitchy vocal loops drive the rhythm, while the arrangement moves between euphoric breakdowns with arpeggiated melodies and a sawtooth lead that nods to '90s techno.

Recent momentum and upcoming shows

Nilsix released "Nostalgia" in May, earning radio support from Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Andrew Rayel, Aly & Fila, W&W, T78, and XiJaro & Pitch. The Norwegian-Dutch partnership, which combines over 40 years of collective experience in dance music, has performed at EDC Las Vegas, Creamfields, Transmission, A State of Trance Rotterdam, Dreamstate San Francisco, and S2O Festival.

The duo has upcoming performances scheduled at Dreamstate SoCal and e-Lake Festival.
